Tractor Driving Experience in Liverpool
Liverpool gives you the full current tractor-driving range, with all four experience choices available from Liverpool Helipad.
Start with 30 minutes for that long-awaited first go, spend a full hour at the controls, take the two-hour solo experience, or bring somebody else along for Double Trouble.
And despite the city name, the venue sits in open Merseyside countryside near Ince Blundell — much more tractor territory than traffic lights and bus lanes.
From Arrival to
Your Turn at the Wheel
You arrive, meet the instructor, go through the safety briefing and get familiar with the tractor before the driving starts. Then it is your turn to take the controls.
Liverpool offers 30-minute, 60-minute and two-hour solo sessions, plus the two-person option. The amount of time changes; the basic route from briefing to driving stays reassuringly straightforward.
Arrive & Get Briefed
Meet the instructor, get welcomed in and go through the safety briefing before you get anywhere near the controls.
Meet the Tractor
Get shown around the modern agricultural tractor and the controls you will need before you start driving.
Take the Controls
This is the important bit. Once the briefing and familiarisation are done, you get behind the wheel and drive the tractor yourself.
Get Stuck In
Once the basics are covered, the rest of the session is about getting comfortable with the machine and making the most of the tractor time.
This Isn’t a Tractor Ride
You’re not climbing aboard to watch somebody else demonstrate the machinery. After the welcome, safety briefing and familiarisation, you take the controls.
The current Liverpool solo sessions use a modern agricultural tractor and operate on an exclusive basis with you and the instructor. You are shown the cab and controls before the driving starts, so there is time to get properly acquainted with the machine first.
With 30 minutes, 60 minutes, two hours solo and Double Trouble all available here, Liverpool is one of the locations where the only difficult bit is deciding how much tractor is enough.
Which Liverpool Tractor Experience Should You Choose?
Liverpool gives you the full range, so this really comes down to how long you want at the controls — and whether you are keeping the tractor to yourself.
“I have no idea what I’m doing, but I’ve always wanted to drive a tractor. What could go wrong?”
“Thirty minutes sounds suspiciously sensible. I want enough time to work those levers and show the world my skills.”
“I have waited long enough. Give me the tractor, point me at the controls and clear the area!”
“We came together. We’re both driving. The tractor will just have to cope. Or not.”
A Surprisingly Easy Gift Decision
If someone in your life has ever stopped mid-conversation because a particularly impressive tractor has gone past, you may already have enough information.
Open-dated vouchers are available, so the recipient can arrange the driving date later. You simply have to decide how much tractor seems appropriate.

Tractor Driving at Liverpool Helipad
Liverpool Helipad is on Orrell Hill Lane near Ince Blundell, north of the city, with the venue postcode L38 5DA.
The name can make it sound more urban than it is. In practice, you are heading out into rural Merseyside rather than towards Liverpool John Lennon Airport or the city centre, which makes considerably more sense once a tractor enters the plan.
There is another bit of machinery here too: the same site is also used for Liverpool helicopter sightseeing. If that happens to sound tempting, you can see the current flight options on HeliRides .
