60 Minute Tractor Driving Experience
There’s having a quick go in a tractor — and then there’s having enough time behind the wheel to stop wondering what everything does and actually start enjoying yourself.
Advanced Tractor Driving gives you a full 60 minutes at the controls of a modern agricultural tractor, with one-to-one instruction throughout. You start with the welcome, safety briefing and controls familiarisation before taking the wheel yourself and heading out across the farmland.
An hour gives you time to get used to the tractor’s size and response, work through the basic manoeuvres and enjoy rather more than a ceremonial lap of the field.
For the Person Who Really Wants to Drive One
There are presents people smile at politely, and presents that get an immediate “No way!” An hour driving a full size tractor has a fair chance of being the second kind.
The voucher gives them a full 60 minutes at the controls and is open dated for 12 months, so you can buy the tractor part now and let them choose the actual driving day later.

An Hour at the Controls. Now We’re Talking.
A full hour means this is more than simply climbing into the cab, getting the tractor moving and wondering where the time went. You are there to drive it.
After the introduction and controls familiarisation, you take the wheel under one-to-one instruction and drive across the farmland. There is time to practise the basic manoeuvres, get a proper feel for the tractor’s size and response, and become less preoccupied with what every control does.
You do not need previous tractor driving experience. The session is designed to introduce you to the machine first, then give you a worthwhile amount of time behind the wheel. By the end, the novelty of driving something that large has not disappeared — you are simply much better acquainted with it.
YOUR TURN NEXT
One Hour.
Plenty of Tractor.
Nobody expects you to arrive knowing your way around a modern agricultural tractor. That is what the instructor and the familiarisation are for.
Once the important bits are covered, the hour is yours to spend at the controls, driving across the farmland and getting properly acquainted with the machine.
Arrive & Get Briefed
Meet your instructor, run through the safety basics and find out how the session will work before the driving begins.
Meet the Tractor
Climb into the cab and get familiar with the controls you will actually use. There may be more levers than seem entirely reasonable, but you will be shown what does what.
Take the Controls
With the basics covered, take the driver’s seat and start moving under one-to-one instruction, getting used to the tractor’s size and response.
Get Stuck In
Drive across the farmland and work through the basic manoeuvres, with a full hour at the controls to practise, improve and enjoy the machine.
HOW MUCH TRACTOR DO YOU WANT?
Sixty minutes is the middle ground: twice the driving time of Tractor Explorer without committing to the full two hour session. If that sounds about right, Advanced Tractor Driving is your one. If not, move down or up the range.
Get Stuck In.
A full hour at the controls for one person, with one-to-one instruction and enough time to get properly acquainted with a modern agricultural tractor rather than simply sample it.

Useful Things to Know
The sensible questions, answered before you commit to spending an hour in charge of something considerably larger than your car.
Do I actually drive the tractor myself?
Yes. That is very much the point. After the introduction, safety briefing and controls familiarisation, you take the wheel and drive under one-to-one instruction.
Do I need previous tractor driving experience?
No. Nobody expects you to arrive fluent in tractor. The session starts with an introduction to the machine and its controls before you begin driving, making it perfectly suitable as a first experience.
How long should I allow for the whole visit?
The driving element is 60 minutes. Allow around 1.5 hours overall for arrival, briefing and familiarisation around the driving itself.
How old do you have to be?
The current minimum age is 13.
Can family or friends come along?
Yes. Spectators are welcomed on the current solo experiences and may take photographs, so there can be evidence afterwards. Check the final joining information for venue specific arrangements.
When does Advanced Tractor Driving run?
The current operating season runs on selected dates from April to October, subject to availability.
Can I buy this as a gift?
Absolutely. The voucher is open dated and currently valid for 12 months, so you can buy the tractor driving now without trying to guess which Saturday in September they have mysteriously kept free.
What if 60 minutes is not the right amount?
There are other levels of tractor enthusiasm available. The range also includes the 30 minute Tractor Explorer, the 2 hour solo Ultimate experience and a separate 2 hour experience for two.
